Over two hundred church members were out in Laurel County Sunday hoping to light up London with love.
Pastor Terry Lester and members of the First Baptist Church of London visited homes door to door with a gift of light from their church. The church handed out six thousand environment friendly light bulbs as well as an inviting message from their church.
Pastor Lester says he hopes the small gift will light up the darkness for those who need it most.
"This is sort of a dark time of the year and sometimes it's unfortunately a dark time in peoples' lives so we have the real desire and hope and prayer that this afternoon we can light up London with a little love," Lester said.
The church handed out bibles across London a few years ago and hopes to find new ways to share their message with the community.
