The United States Postal Service is searching for a solution to help raise revenue in order to pay back it's multi-billion dollar debt.

Many community members in our area are not pleased with the new proposals.

The new strategy proposes that 16 post offices in Letcher County shorten their business hours.

This strategy could potentially save the businesses around half of one billion dollars every year.

Post office officials say the number of reduced hours will depend on the amount of customer traffic.

They say the new plan isn't expected to be completed for another two years.
