An Eastern Kentucky soldier injured in Iraq continues to recover tonight.
Sergeant Grant Combs is recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Combs was injured when the Humvee he was riding in ran over an IED in Iraq.
Family members say Sergeant Combs is finished with surgery, but will need another 12 weeks of physical therapy before he's released from the hospital.
Combs' mother says he is in good spirits and she thanks the soldiers and families assistance center and the community for their support.
Sergeant Combs grew up in Perry County.
