Governor Steve Beshear says all state agencies are standing by as this latest winter storm continues to move through the Kentucky.
Crews are working to clear the roads, but Governor Beshear is asking Kentuckians to stay home unless it's an emergency. The state is taking precautions to ensure public safety.
Nearly 1,000 snow removal vehicles are working around the clock to clear major roadways. The state's emergency operations center was activated to deal with any emergencies and to keep officials aware of weather and highway conditions. The Kentucky National Guard is available for duty if needed and Kentucky State Police and Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement have additional officers working the roads around the clock.
