State police hope playing cards will help solve cold cases

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police hope new clues to some cold cases will be in the cards.

In 2010, police handed out 8,000 decks of playing cards to prisons around Kentucky. Each card had information about unsolved cases.

Since then, state police say three of those cases have been solved.

Now, Kentucky State Police have put copies of the complete deck of cards on their website, hoping the public will give them new tips.

You can see the cards at http://www.kentuckystatepolice.org/unsolved_cases.htm.

Police also have established a toll free tip line, where you can leave anonymous tips, at 1-877-735-2648. You can also email tips at kyunsolved@ky.gov.
