Heavy rain is possible through Friday as a strong storm system moves through the mountains. Flash Flooding is likely during this time. Remember if you come across a flooded roadway to turn around and don't drown. Keep it with WYMT for the latest.
FRANKFORT, Ky.(WYMT)- Former Kentucky Democratic Party Chairman Bill Garmer says he may run for U.S. Senate next year against Republican incumbent Mitch McConnell.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports Garmer said Friday he would only consider running if Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes declines to enter the race.
Garmer says he "can't emphasize enough" that he hopes Grimes runs and adds that no matter what the Kentucky Democratic Party "will have a credible candidate" to run against McConnell.
