KNOTT Co., Ky. (WYMT) - When the Knott County Housing Authority apartment complex went up in flames, families were left with nothing.

Twenty churches and organizations are assisting the housing authority.

Officials say they are trying their best to help in any way possible.

The pastor of the Hindman First Baptist Church in Knott County says everyone is pulling together and making donations.

Pastor Mike Caudill says families will be able to pack up whatever they need on Tuesday morning.

Volunteers say this is proof that even when tragedy happens there are those who are ready and willing to help out.
