A Harlan County man will spend 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to assault and other charges.

The Harlan Daily reports Michael Middleton was indicted last year for allegedly intentionally causing serious physical injury to a child in May of 2011.

In addition to his prison sentence, Middleton is also required to pay around $3,000 in restitution.
