BREATHITT Co., Ky. (WYMT) - A Breathitt County family continues their fight for justice.
This as a grand jury indicted Delbert White for second degree manslaughter of 13-year-old Taylor Henson.
The indictment says White “wantonly” caused the death of Henson by striking her with a motor vehicle.
Police arrested White Wednesday morning at a home in the Lost Creek Community of Breathitt County.
Daisy Henson is Taylor's grandmother and said she remembers every detail of that July day when her life changed forever.
"Her last words were hey maw-maw," said Daisy. "My husband called me at 2:28 and said she was killed and I said no way, I just got off the phone with her."
She said it never gets easier.
Almost eight months later a cross stands beside the road where they found her body.
Daisy said, "I've cried a lot, shook a lot, prayed a lot, and hopefully justice is beginning to be served for Taylor."
A judge set his bail at $105,000.
"I want him to think of what he did that day and never forget it," Daisy said.
Delbert White declined our request for a jailhouse interview.
