FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Officials are offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to a conviction for the killing of a bald eagle in Calloway County, Ky., last November.
The reward was posted Thursday by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.
The mature bald eagle was shot on state Route 121 near New Concord.
Investigators said they are optimistic that someone in the local community knows who did the shooting and will help authorities.
