Some of Kentucky's most talented young artists are spending part of their summer learning new skills and preparing for college.
225 high school students from across the state are taking part in the Governor's School For The Arts at Transylvania University.
On Wednesday night, Governor Steve Beshear and Lieutenant Governor Jerry Abramson stopped by for a reception.
The three-week program includes classes, workshops and field trips to arts attractions in the area.
This is the 25th year for the Governor's School For The Arts.
