A physical reminder of ground zero in New York five years ago stands tall in the mountains of eastern Kentucky today.

A fourteen foot support beam from the World Trade Center stands at the University of the Cumberlands.

The Whitley County Coroner helped in recovery efforts at ground zero and wanted to bring it back for a memorial to 9-11.

New York City Police and firefighters helped transport the support beam to Williamsburg.
