Founder & Chief Of Fire Department Passes Away

Belfry Fire Chief Rexel Jackson suffered a heart attack.

Jackson was a founder of the Belfry Fire Department and had been fire chief for the last 16 years.

Visitation is going on right now until nine at the rogers funeral home in belfry.

There will be a full firefighter's funeral Tuesday, starting at one o'clock in the Belfry Middle School Gym.

Belfy High School and feeder schools will be closed Tueday for the funeral.

Jackson was 78 years old.
