Three Clay County men, including two former city officials, appeared in federal court again Wednesday.
Motions were heard for former Manchester Assistant Police Chief Todd Roberts, former 911 Director Vernon Hacker, and resident Bobby Joe Curry in London's U.S. District Court as they prepare for their October trial. The three are charged in connection with an alleged drug ring in operation from November 2000 to May 2005, in which the United States says they made one million dollars from cocaine and pain pills.
A fourth person, Tammy Napier pleaded guilty to federal drug charges in connection to the case last week. She's expected to testify in the trial set to begin October 24th.
