Attorney General Defends New Meth Law

Posted: Thu 5:23 PM, Sep 28, 2006

Attorney General Greg Stumbo is defending a Kentucky meth law.

The law is being challenged in Daviess County court by Sheena Ann Speed saying it violates Kentuckians right to privacy. Speed is arguing the law's requirement that a pharmacy log showing drug purchases can be inspected by law enforcement officials. The attorney general says that requirement allows law enforcement officials to identify people buying large amounts of meth ingredients.
