University No Longer Seeking To Dismiss Lawsuit

The University of the Cumberlands is no longer seeking to dismiss a lawsuit filed against the school in April.

The lawsuit seeks to block the Baptist School from receiving state funds for its pharmacy program, and was filed after a student was expelled from the school after admitting he is gay.

Attorneys for the school said the motion was withdrawn because it would not resolve the issue of whether or not a religious school is entitled to state funding.
