Two Inmates On Death Row Ask To Be Spared

Two inmates on Kentucky's death row are asking the state's high court to do something it's never done before.

They are asking the Kentucky Supreme Court to spare them because they say their trial attornies were not effective.

The inmates, Hugh Marlowe of Harlan County and Charles Bussell of Christian County want the court to uphold rulings by circuit judges that their lawyers inadequately defended them.

The supreme court must now decide whether the defense attorneys did in fact do a poor job.
