Middlesboro Wal-Mart Makes Some Changes

One of Bell County's largest employers is showing off a brand new look.

The Middlesboro Wal-Mart celebrated a grand reopening Friday morning. The company is remodeling hundreds of stores nationwide. The store manager says there are new signs and paint colors, an improved clothing section with wood flooring, and an expanded electronics department.

"And the customers love the wider aisles in grocery. A lot have asked me if we expanded and no we've just changed things around for them," said Store Manager Herman Brinkley.

"It's great. Didn't take long for them to do it at all. It's a big improvement. It needed to be done," said Debbie Givens.

At the grand reopening, the store donated over four thousand dollars to local schools and rescue agencies.

The Middlesboro Wal-Mart employs over four hundred people.
