Three Accidents Shut Down I-75 For Hours

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (AP) - Two people died Friday in crashes
involving several vehicles on Interstate 75 in southeastern
Kentucky, authorities said.

Anthony Wyatt, 16, and Britney Wyatt, 13, both of Corbin, were
pronounced dead at the scene, Whitley County Coroner Andy Croley
said in a statement.

Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement reported three accidents, two of
them related, on I-75 in Whitley County. The accidents involved
nine commercial vehicles and nine passenger vehicles.

The crashes happened between mile markers 16 and 20 on both
directions of I-75.

Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement received calls about the accidents
just before 4 p.m., Friday.

There were various injuries.

The interstate is now completely open again.
