An Eastern Kentucky church says they need your help to find out who's been shooting into their building. Church members say they want to forgive and fix the damages.
Sunday morning worship at the Robinson Creek Missionary Baptist Church hasn't been like other services for a couple of weeks, because this congregation is now constantly reminded of violence.
"I never, never, thought that I'd come to the place of worship and see it done," said Pastor Geral Wells.
Pastor Wells says on two separate occasions, someone has shot into the church. He says the first time appeared to be a drive by. One bullet traveled through the front door and hit the far wall in the sanctuary.
"This time there was more than one. There were numerous shots that went through this window here and also into the brick wall," Pastor Wells said.
Members say they believe the shooter was standing on the sidewalk the second time because they found shell casings in front of the church.
"It’s a hurt to know that someone don't have no respect for a church," said church member Glenn Calebs.
Pastor Wells says they want whoever did this to come forward and they will forgive them.
