Some people in Southern Kentucky will soon be helping to build military aircrafts including the Blackhawk helicopter.
A new plant will be located at the Somerset Airport where technicians will build parts for a number of different helicopters and aircraft.
Fifteen to twenty people will be hired initially, but company officials say many more could be hired down the road.
"The beauty of what we are starting is that it's an unlimited potential. We are growing way too fast for out borders," said Jeffrey Pino with Sikorsky Aircraft.
"There is no guarantee of course, but this company has a reputation of starting small and then growing as they prove themselves," said U.S. Representative Hal Rogers.
The plant is expected to open early next year.
