Some Eastern Kentucky nurses will have to a wait for another court decision.
Appalachian Regional Healthcare officials say they filed a notice of appeal Friday after they couldn't come to an agreement with the Kentucky Nurses Association. This comes after a federal judge ordered ARH to follow an arbitrator's award and reinstate the work schedule in question.
The original disagreement was concerning scheduling and pay for nurses.
Executive Director of the Kentucky Nurses Association officials say they're outraged an agreement couldn't be made. She says with interest, ARH now owes the nurses more than two and a half million dollars.
