Woman Enters Alford Plea To Manslaughter

A Harlan County woman charged with stabbing her boyfriend to death enters an alford plea to second degree manslaughter.

The plea means Kimberly Owens doesn't admit guilt, but says there's enough evidence to convict her for the September, 2004 stabbing death of James McMillan.

The Harlan County commonwealth's attorney says there was evidence that Owens was a victim of domestic abuse.

Owens faces ten years in prison.

She'll be sentenced in December.
