Flu Cancels Classes At One Eastern Kentucky School

It's flu season once again and the seasonal sickness is forcing one Perry County school to shut their doors for the rest of the week.

The principal of Wabaco Christian Academy in Hazard says they called off school since many of the 75 faculty members and students, were feeling under the weather.

"Honestly, we don't want to spread these germs around to other people, so we just decided to cancel school," said Principal Dwight Sexton.

To battle seasonal sickness, doctors are recommending flu shots and proper handwashing. For more information about fighting the flu, you can go to the following website: http://www.fda.gov/fdac/features/2001/601_flu.html.
