A former U.K. basketball star was talking about the Wildcats with Eastern Kentuckians Saturday.
Kenny "Sky" Walker and Wes Strader co-host CATS Talk on WSGS and Saturday they were live from Cliff Hagan's Restaurant. Walker is the fourth all-time leading scorer for Kentucky. He then went on to play for the New York Knicks. He says that while college basketball has changed since his career in the mid-eighties, the fans in Eastern Kentucky haven't changed their expectations.
"What I've noticed over the past 6 or 7 years of doing radio, it's always very difficult after the ballgame because all of the Kentucky fans are very emotional. They want to win every game, they're accustomed to winning every game," Walker said.
You can hear Walker and Strader on WSGS from Louisville Tuesday night when Kentucky takes on Chattanooga at Freedom Hall.
