An argument between a father and son leads to a standoff with police.
Just after midnight, Kentucky State Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Elmer Richardson Road in Estill County. Officers say 28 year old Michael McDowell had gotten into an argument with his father. When troopers arrived at the home, they say McDowell fired shots at them. After a six hour standoff, a special response team fired chemicals into the home which forced McDowell out.
McDowell is charged with six counts of wanton endangerment and six counts of terroristic threatening.
