Kentucky State Police were going on a shopping spree through Wal-Mart Thursday. It was all to make sure many local kids have a good Christmas this year.
Troopers helped them pick out whatever made their hearts content. Officers say it helps put things into perspective.
"It makes you appreciate how well we have things and gives the opportunity to share a little bit with some of the children," said Doyle Halcomb with the Kentucky State Police.
"I think it's cool because they're going to help us get some things we can't get for Christmas," said Nancy Day.
The “Shop With A Trooper” event was dedicated to Trooper Kevin Knuckles who died last year, but always enjoyed to take kids shopping at Christmas time.
