School Raises Money To Benefit Area Children

Several kids in Johnson County are going to benefit from the first ever Jingle Bell Run.

Students, teachers and staff at Paintsville Elementary raised twelve hundred dollars for needy kids in their community. Sponsors donated money to the fifth and sixth graders for running one mile through Paintsville.

"What better way to incorporate wellness and a fundraiser and good character than to have a Jingle Bell Run," said Paintsville Elementary Principal Teresa Petot.

"I'm privileged enough to get presents and some kids don't so, I thought that was a good thing to do," said Trevor Tiller.

Students, school officials and several other community members and elected officials participated in the run.
