Operators of a McCreary County recreation center that serves hundreds of local children and teenagers say they're hoping for a special Christmas present this year.

The McCreary County Fiscal Court told the operators of the Lord's Gym they needed to pay one hundred thousand dollars by the end of March to keep their current facility.
Director Braxton King says the Lord's Gym is run solely by volunteers and grants and that he's confident the community will pull together for a cause that's changing lives.

"Before I started coming here, I was smoking pot, I was drinking all the time. I don't do that no more," said Chris Newman who volunteers at Lord's Gym.

"It's changed my life. I love it. It's like he said, it's his second home, to me it's my first home," said Volunteer Red Jones.
