Man Pleads Not Guilty On Multiple Charges Including Rape

An Eastern Kentucky man pleads not guilty to charges in connection with an alleged rape.

Matthew Casey was in court Friday morning in Pike County on charges of rape, sodomy, kidnapping and robbery. Police say he kidnapped a woman in her own car and raped her.
Later, he also allegedly sexually assaulted a five year old.

"This defendant is one of the most vile persons that could be compared to the worst beast in hell, your honor," said Commonwealth's Attorney Rick Bartley.

Casey is being held on a one million dollar cash bond. He will be back in court in March.
