A Kentucky State Trooper involved in a deadly shooting has been cleared of any wrong doing.
The Floyd County Times reports a grand jury did not return an indictment against Trooper Chris Hicks. Hicks shot and killed 44 year old Jeff Jones in May after he threatened other officers and workers a David coal mine.
The grand jury report says Hicks was justified in using deadly force.
The report shows Jones' gun was loaded and cocked at the time he was shot.
