PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - Several people are facing meth related charges in Floyd County.

Police say they found a substantial amount of meth and meth precursors at a home in Prestonsburg, and nearly half a dozen people are now behind bars.

Several police and fire vehicles poured onto Old Cliff Road Tuesday morning.

The cause: suspected meth.

"There was actually six one step meth labs that were left over. They had been used," said Detective Adam Dixon.

Police say they found several items used for making meth stored under the house and some already made that had been put in the toilet.

Police say they got this information based off an anonymous tip that was made.

Mountain News talked to some neighbors next to the trailer.

They did not want to go on camera but did tell us they had seen some suspicious activity going on there for quite a while.

There were six people inside at the time.

All were brought in for questioning.

Five ended up facing charges.

Those five are Debra Hall, Alisha Blackburn, David Blackburn, Whitney Blackburn and Summer Stanley.

"We're not going to allow methamphetamine to be cooked in Prestonsburg. If we hear anything about it or get any type of tip on it we are going to follow up on the tip," said Assistant Police Chief Bryan Hall.

All five were booked in the Floyd County Jail.

Police say they are also searching for two other persons of interest related to this case.

They have not released their names.
