For months, police have been pulling over drivers just for not wearing a seat belt. So far they've been giving drivers warnings, but starting next Monday, officers will begin giving drivers without a seat belt on a ticket with a twenty five dollar fine. Most drivers say it's worth it to make everyone safer, even if it does give police another reason to pull you over.

"I don't agree having just another thing to pull them over with. I think they should have to pull you over for something else first, but whatever works, whatever gets it done," said Matthew Faulkner.

"I was in a real bad car accident and had I not had a seat belt on, I would've been dead," said Beulah West.

Again police can start giving tickets for not wearing a seat belt beginning this Monday, January 1st.
