An Eastern Kentucky family has spent the last four years searching for a loved one who they lost contact with when she was only one. The family is now using a popular website to aid in their search.

Jared Stacy says he's the father of a beautiful 5 year old girl. The only problem is Stacy hasn't seen his daughter in over 4 years.

"Its just been a long time since I've seen her and I'm just trying to get a hold of my daughter," Stacy said.

Stacy says his ex-girlfriend disappeared with his daughter when she was only a year old.

"We just want to be able to see Elissa because we love Elissa. She is part of our family," said Vanessa Ritchie.

Ritchie is Elissa's grandmother and she says Elissa's mother, Johvanni, suddenly moved out of their home in Texas in September of 2002.

"We contacted some of his friends in Dallas and they said that her mother, the mother, the grandmother, and Elissa had all three moved in the middle of the night," Ritchie said.

So after missing four years of Elissa's life, on Christmas Day the family decided to set up a MySpace page.

"By noon time, we already had 250 bulletins out and it was by 4 o'clock that afternoon. We had already reached over ten thousand people," Stacy said.

The family says they have received messages from all over the United States and even all over the world.

"We're trying to get this information into as many hands and as many homes as we can," Stacy said.

The family says they want the opportunity to see Elissa again.

"Every father deserves that chance as does every aunt and uncle and grandmother. They deserve that too," Ritchie said.

Elissa's MySpace page can be found by logging on to Family members have also posted videos of Elissa online. They can be viewed at
