We could soon learn if a former Eastern Kentucky police officer will be charged after he was in a car crash while on duty.
Brad Nighbert used to work for the Williamsburg Police Department. In April, his cruiser crashed into a minivan while he was on patrol. Officials say tests following the crash found Nighbert had cocaine and Oxycodone in his system at the time.
Nighbert resigned from the job in September.
The Corbin Times Tribune says a grand jury is expected to announce if he'll be charged on Monday.
