Possible Hit & Run Leaves EKU Student Dead

Police in Estill County are investigating a possible hit and run accident that left a 22 year old EKU student dead.

Garrett Crank, 22, was found along Doe Creek Road early Sunday morning.

Police say he had been hit by a car and the state medical examiner says he died of blunt force trauma.

Police are trying to find out if Crank was alive when he was hit by the car and why that driver didn't stop.

Crank's family is no stranger to tragedy, Crank's father is in prison for killing his mother.
