A new candidate for governor is already making stops in Eastern Kentucky.
Republican Anne Northup stopped Thursday at the Wendell Ford Airport in Hazard on the second day of her campaign. Northup says one reason she's running, is to force democratic opponents to discuss issues other than Governor Fletcher's record. She says she might be from Louisville, but she's ready to listen to Eastern Kentuckians.
"Looking at the individuals needs of each part of a community and treating them as importantly as any others," Northup said.
Northup says she and running mate Jeff Hoover are ready to fight for issues of mine safety, economic development, and education in Eastern Kentucky. Northup also campaigned in Ashland Thursday.
