Estimated Kentucky Government Surplus May Not Be Met

Kentucky's state government may not reach governor Fletcher's estimated surplus this year.

The consensus forecast group estimates the state will collect an extra 231.9 million dollars.

That's about 47 million dollars less than Fletcher has estimated.

The panel estimates the state will have a 169 million dollar surplus in 2008, bringing in a total of 401 million dollars over the next two years.
