Man Accused Of Pushing Girlfriend Into Oncoming Traffic Sentenced

A man accused of pushing his girlfriend into oncoming traffic will serve 12 years in jail.

Fred Brown was sentenced Friday. He pleaded guilty in Knox Circuit Court to first degree assault last month.

Police say Brown pushed Lisa Williams into the path of an oncoming car on Highway 223 in Dewitt in February of 2006. Police say Williams was seriously injured.
