Former Mayor Remains In Custody Of U.S. Marshalls

Former Mayor of Manchester Daugh White is still in the custody of United States Marshals.

In a federal detention hearing Wednesday, Judge Wier ordered White to remain in federal custody until he makes a decision on whether to release him until the trial date. Assistant U.S. Attorney Steve Smith said the charges against White qualifies him to stay in federal custody because they carry a minimum ten year sentence, if convicted.

Judge Wier will make a decision on White's detention Friday morning.
