Finding a parking spot should be easier at least in downtown London.
City and county officials showed off a new parking garage there Friday. It's located downtown just behind the county courthouse. The project has been about four years in the making and local officials say it was needed to accommodate recent growth.
"We've been in a situation where downtown London has grown so much, such a high volume of traffic down here, we've just really not had a large area to park people," said Lawrence Kuhl, Laurel County Judge Executive.
The new parking garage can hold about 200 vehicles and can someday be expanded with more floors if more space is needed.
