A slow moving cold front will bring rain back to the mountains Tuesday afternoon and evening. Some storms could contain heavy rain and could lead to new flash flooding. Keep an eye on water levels in flood prone areas and do not cross flooded roadways.
Much of Perry County is out of water.
Hazard city officials say close to 60 percent of the county is running dry.
They say people living from Highway 15 to the Breathitt county line... Highway 28 to Buckhorn... and all of Highway 476 are out of water.
At this time the south end of the county to Leatherwood does have water but those storage tanks are very low.
They say this outage is due to a high demand of water throughout the county.
Officials say they hope a night of pumping water into the storage tanks will resolve the problem.
However, when it does come back on, you should boil it before using it.
