Former Mayor Is Released From Jail

Former mayor of Manchester Daugh White was released from jail Tuesday, but he's being closely watched by federal officials.

District Judge Danny Reeves placed White on home incarceration, with electronic surveillance and strict conditions.

White must stay home unless there's a medical emergency and refrain from alcohol use and prescription drug abuse.

He cannot contact law enforcement officials, or current and former employees of the city of Manchester.

He is restricted from having sexual contact with anyone other than his wife, after being accused of paying for sex with minors in previous hearings.

If White violates any of the conditions, he will immediately be taken back into federal custody.

Federal court records show one of White's daughters paid $100,000 to secure his release...while awaiting trial on federal drug charges.
