Travel Conditions To Remain Hazardous, Especially On Secondary Roads

Temperatures across Eastern Kentucky continue to fall today as a brisk northwest wind ushers in cold arctic air. The cold air will squeeze any residual moisture from the air in the form of light snow. Expect the snow to taper to just occasional flurries later this afternoon with little additional accumulation. Those flurries will continue into the overnight hours tonight as lows drop into the mid teen's. The flash freezing of overnight rain coupled with the snow will continue to create hazardous traveling conditions, especially on secondary roads that may not yet be treated.
