Governor Fletcher says he's not going to talk about what he calls "fantasies" being reported by his competition in the Republican Gubernatorial Primary.
Lieutenant Governor Steve Pence endorsed Fletcher rival Anne Northup Monday and has since told reporters that Fletcher pardoned members of his staff to keep the Merit hiring investigation from incriminating his staff. Fletcher says he wants his campaign to focus on issues of health care, jobs, and helping the Commonwealth.
"My opponent may want to drag the campaign through the mud, but I'm not doing that. We've had this issue vetted a number of times, over one thousand articles and we've answered those questions. We're focusing on moving Kentucky forward," Fletcher said.
Fletcher's campaign did call Pence the "Brutus" of the campaign after Pence's announcement Monday of his endorsement of Northup.
