UT Police Investigating Armed Robbery & Carjacking

University of Tennessee police now think two incidents, an armed robbery and a carjacking that happened on Monday night are related and they've issued a campus wide alert to students, faculty and staff.

Both incidents occurred along Caledonia Avenue. Officials say no one was injured in either incident, but all the victims involved describe the suspects as three men, one of whom was carrying a small handgun. The armed robbery happened just after 10. Police are looking for two black men, one wearing camouflage and the other a black hoodie. They are also looking for a white man wearing a black hoodie.

The carjacking was first reported right after midnight at Caledonia and Volunteer Boulevard. The suspects are described as three black men all standing about 5-foot-10.
