State police say they will be conducting more patrols, and using more radars and speed checkpoints from march until at least may. Officials say they're getting an early start with ballgames and events like prom and graduation coming up later this spring. Officials say checkpoints aren't just for police... they also help drivers remember to slow down.
Kentucky State Police say they will also be enforcing the new seat belt law during the spring safety blitz. They say all counties in eastern Kentucky will be targeted.
