Drug Arrest Made

PIKEVILLE – A man wanted in a drug roundup conducted earlier this year was arrested Wednesday, March 14.

Officials from the Pike County Probation and Parole office in Pikeville notified Operation UNITE that the suspect, 42-year-old Lannie Mark Johnson of Route 610, Virgie, was at their office. Johnson was on probation at the time.

Johnson, one of 36 people targeted in the January 23 roundup, was arrested on a Pike County indictment warrant for two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.
