Four Arrested On Lawrence Drug Indictments

LOUISA – Four people have been arrested on unrelated drug indictments following investigations by Operation UNITE.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and Louisa Police Department assisted UNITE detectives in making the arrests on cases dating back to late 2005.

A total of seven individuals were recently indicted by a Lawrence County grand jury on the drug trafficking charges.

On Friday, March 9, the Sheriff’s office arrested 43-year-old Vickie Stepp, of Louisa, on two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 yards of Louisa Elementary School. Stepp is accused of selling Alprazalom and Hydrocodone.

Three others were arrested Thursday, March 15. They are:

• Edna Fletcher, 41, of Roe Creek, Catlettsburg, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Hydrocodone).

• James Holbrook, 34, Highway 32, Louisa, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Oxycodone) and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Hydrocodone).

• Dewey Young, 47, Bobcat Ridge, Louisa, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Hydrocodone).

All four were lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
