An eastern kentucky radio station . . knocked off the air by fire just days ago . . could be back on the air sooner than expected.
WANO-AM'S owner says he's been flooded with calls from businesses around town and around the country wanting to help. He says local concrete and supply companies are going to help the station build a new fire proof structure that's expected to be done by the end of the week.
The station's owner says a broadcast company heard about the fire . . and is giving it the next transmitter off its line . . so the station should be up and running within a couple of weeks.
